Our Beliefs
1
God
We believe in the one living God, who is the sovereign creator of the world, ruling graciously with all power as the holy trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
2
Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit
We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of our Lord, who was conceived by the holy spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried, and on the third day he rose from the dead. His life, death, and resurrection redeemed man from sin, leaving us with the Holy Spirit to comfort, sustain, empower, and guide us all to truth. And it is only through our faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that we may be accounted righteous by God.
3
Sin and Free Will
We believe in the fallen and sinful nature of man, wholly dependent on divine grace to do good works that are pleasing to God. Through empowerment of the holy spirit, we have the free will to choose a life that glorifies God. We believe in the possibility of sanctification, made possible only by perfect love, true holiness, and deliverance from the power of sin.
4
The Bible, Church, and Sacraments.
We believe the Old and New Testaments was received through the holy spirit, leaving us a guide for faith and practice. We value the communion of saints, knowing the church exists for the edification of believers and worship of our Lord. Through baptism for both adults and children, we may enter the household of faith, having been cleansed from our sin and born again. We practice holy communion on the first Sunday of every month as a sacrament of the suffering and death of Christ.
